The bible is clear that sickness can be caused by a curse.
Some bible-believing Christians struggle to accept this. But then they also struggle to get healed!
In Deut 28, God warned his people that they would be cursed if they disobeyed him. These curses included:
- wasting diseases
- fever
- inflammation
- incurable boils, tumours, festering sores and itching
- madness
- blindness
- confusion
God also said he would visit the fathers’ iniquities on their children and their children’s children … ‘to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate him.’
We cannot take these verses lightly. Somes sicknesses are caused by curses, either through our own sin, or those of our forefathers.
Some people say that a Christian cannot be under a curse, because curses were broken by Jesus on the cross. And they’re right – Galatians 3:13 says so.
But God’s promises have to be possessed by faith. Otherwise, they remain theoretical truths.
The Israelites had to cross the River Jordan by faith, and then fight for their promised land, even though it was theirs by right.
Your promised land includes health. But you may have to fight for it by breaking curses, in Jesus’ name.
Not all sickness is caused by a curse. But if your condition hasn’t responded to prayer, then you should ask friends to pray and break curses off you.
