Some Christians don’t get healed because they take communion without resolving issues with other believers.
Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 11: 29-31: ‘For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgement on themselves.
‘That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.
‘But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgement.’
It’s easy to get absorbed in the communion ceremony and forget that the body of Christ is the person sitting next to you. To do so is religion.
Broken relationships inflict weakness, sickness and death on those involved – even entire congregations.
God made the rules because he understands the importance of right relationships.
And he also remembers the savage damage that was inflicted on his son Jesus’ body.
He cares so deeply that he tried to prevent that happening to Jesus’ body again.
So, the key to your healing might mean putting things right with your brothers or sisters.
Don’t leave it too long.
